QUINTA V2
Overview
Opera Quinta v2 is the flagship model of the Classica line. This three-way floorstanding speaker, featuring two rear bass-reflex ports and high sensitivity, delivers detailed, extremely dynamic, and engaging sound. Thanks to collaboration with Scan-Speak, it is equipped with a 26 mm soft dome tweeter, a 250 mm midrange, and two 180 mm woofers, ensuring a complete and precise sound range.

Cabinet
The key to the new design of the Opera Quinta v2 combines two fundamental yet often underestimated qualities: the reduction of internal reflections, which can compromise sound purity, and optimized features for ideal musical performance in the listening environment.
To improve sound articulation, the cabinet shape results from numerous tests aimed at minimizing reflections, especially in the midrange frequencies. This was achieved through an internal design without parallel walls and a dimensional ratio that minimizes standing waves.
The sound pressure emitted by each individual panel was measured with great precision, and the chassis was optimized to reduce these emissions to nearly inaudible levels, below average ambient noise.
Particular attention was also given to the speaker mounts on the front panel, internally machined to limit internal reflections that could pass through the cones and color the sound.
The reflex ports were also designed to avoid turbulence phenomena, especially at high power levels.

Drivers
The drivers used in this project feature a renewed design and were developed in collaboration with Scan-Speak. Thanks to the experience of this prestigious manufacturer and our specific requirements, we achieved excellent extension, high sensitivity, and very low distortion. The ratio between the various dimensions has been carefully optimized to ensure an engaging listening experience, which is the ultimate result of our work.
The aluminum cones supplied by the Danish manufacturer have such a low high-frequency resonance that it amazed us.

Crossover
By using audiophile-grade components of the highest quality (Vishay non-inductive resistors and Mundorf capacitors), we managed to maximize the acoustic scene and the preservation of sound staging.
These are, for the Opera Loudspeakers team, fundamental aspects of musical reproduction, beyond simple tonal balance.
Moreover, the use of excellent components ensures stable and long-lasting performance over time.
Design Philosophy
The new Opera Quinta represents a significant evolution of the previous model. Thanks to a detailed study of each component, we surpassed the sensitivity limit of 87-88 dB, reaching as high as 91 dB, thereby ensuring excellent dynamics and very linear performance even at high signal levels. This allows good drivability even with lower-powered amplifiers.
The new design prioritizes listening experience over standard measurements, which often fail to capture many of the audiophile qualities we consider essential.
